Day 85 - Mar 25: Scouting
I don't know if this is a normal thing or not, I'm not an ornithologist. But I know I've never seen it before. This waxwing sat in the tree in our front yard for at least 45 minutes. He ate a berry or two, but most of the time sat scanning the sky, presumably for his brethren. All we could figure was that he was sent out to scout for the next meal. Alas, although the clan flew overhead more than a couple times, they never did settle on our tree. He gave up after that and joined the rest of the flock.
